The Varsity Boys Basketball team has a current league record of 0-5-0. They started their season on April 6 and have an upcoming game tomorrow against Woodbridge. Due to COVID-19, they started their season later than usual and now practices with masks and seating six feet apart. The basketball balls are sanitized after practice and during games, each player is allowed to bring two family members as spectators.
“COVID-19 has affected us a great deal because we weren’t allowed to scrimmage until a couple weeks ago,” Coach Sam Davis said. “It was harder to know who were my best defenders and how to implement plays. It just put you in a situation where players had to pick up really quick. It’s been rocky. We are improving, game by game. We are understanding the game better, our scoring is up and the games are getting tighter and closer in score.”
