Gender inequality within sports at Irvine

Why are girl’s games always scheduled before boy’s games? It doesn’t seem fair. Girls’ Varsity usually plays at 5:30 p.m, so parents who work from 9-5 often can’t make it to watch their daughters play. However, the boys’ Varsity games come after, so their parents are more likely to be able to come watch. We ALL work hard as student athletes. The boys and girls schedules should switch, so that they both get the same attention and recognition they deserve. Maybe there is a reason why boys’ sports come after girls, but I don’t see it.
